Writing from a DnD campaign

I've been running a story heavy campaign for about a year now and have begun to bring this campaign to a close. Now, I'm thinking of writing the happenings of the campaign into the form of a book. To give you an idea as to how the campaign had gone, there was usually an NPC that was with the party at one point or another, and helped drive parts of the story behind the scenes. So, I'm thinking of writing this from the point of view of said NPC. My question to you is this, do you think it would work as asmall book?

Most things will work as a small book if you try hard enough.

It won't necessarily be publishable, but as long as you have the drive to create and write, you'll have something enjoyable in the end.

If they drove the story it would be hard, you would have to explain why. It might work better from another pov.
