Yeah ive been using a dv2000 laptop and it is so bad that i went on can you run it and it said i cant run wall-e the game. So ive been looking at gaming laptops on bestbuy and tigerdirect but im still unsure. im looking to spend 1k. Preferably laptop but will go desktop if its really good.
I play:
Fable
WoW
GW
but would play more games but im limited by poor pc. 3 fps in a battleground is making it hard to get my pvp set.

PS. DON'T SAY BUILD YOUR ON PC I DONT HAVE THE BRAINPOWER TO PULL THAT OFF
thx : )

Try newegg.com, they always have pretty good computers at a cheap price.
Off-topic, but may I ask, what does GW stand for?

Go for a desktop if you want gaming. Cheaper for better performance. Other than that, have fun finding a computer.

I'll take your old one, if you plan on getting rid of it. I'm kind like that.

On topic, no idea. You could try most general computer manufacturers. My laptop is pretty good and only set me back a little more than a grand.

Hey, a teacher in my high school plugged an Ethernet cable in upside-down. It is possible to fail at putting basic components together correctly.

Don't buy anything from dell, apple, alienware etc.
If you really can't build your own (which I promise is so much easier than it sounds your head will likely explode) then get someone from a parts shop to assemble it for you. You will still need to vaguely know what parts you want, but it shouldn't take any more than half an hour to jump online and work out what works with what.

By the way OP, here's a good place to get started looking at cheap gaming computers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2032280010%201308920938%204021&name=$500%20-%20$750
Remember that the GPU is the single most important component when it comes to gaming, so don't skimp out on it. Also put aside $200 or so for a nice monitor.
