I can't download the Bulletstorm Demo because apparently "Your account settings do not allow you to buy games of this rating."

WTF? i bought the console and specifically turned family settings OFF, so why doesnt it let me download the demo?!

I assume this is one of the downloads that you need to be 18+ to download, and it's not affected by family settings IIRC, they take your DoB from when you created the account.

You probably registered under your age which is, by assumption, under 18. So when the system looks at your age it goes "Nope can't do that 'Charlie' your under aged."

Same thing happens to me and it still continues to this day and I'm over 18 now, I even used a fake birth year so I'm 2 years older than what I actually am.

as to how to fix it, can't, I've tried and failed on everything I've tried but it still could be done but that most likely involves calling up Microsoft and complaining, which is too much work for me to download a demo.

There's a setting somewhere to upgrade your account to a full account rather than a minor account. Yes, even if you turn 18 you still need to go through it. Check in Account Settings.
