WTF moments in gaming

So today I was replaying Borderlands after letting it sit for a few months and noticed something pretty ridiculous. When you kill any enemy they tend to groan as they fall to the ground. Totally legit. However, if you headshot them and their head explodes they still tend to groan. How the hell does something without a head groan?

Try this: moan like you are dying for 10 seconds. OK? Now put your hand on your throat and do it again. Feel that? Those are your vocal cords. Air passing over them makes sound. Your mouth shapes that sound into words. Without a mouth, all you can do is: moan! If you shoot off someone's head, and their body has an involuntary response of convulsing the muscles which control the lungs and tightens the vocal cords, then boom: headless moaning.

Since I just bought Star Wars The Force Unleashed, I have a great WTF moment; those damn missle turrets and the Purge Troopers missle launcher are almost impossible to dodge and if you're out in the open when one hits you, you're pretty much target practice as it is very hard to get back up in time to get away.

Mass Effect - whilst battling the Matriarch, Shepard decides to become Mr. fantastic and start stretching out of shape and then freezes and becomes nigh invicible. It also turns out you can't move and that the Matriarch and her commandos have shit accuracy. It was a serious WTF moment for me as I thought I would have to reset my xbox 360 and I had forgotten when I had last saved.

Also in Fallout 3 I met a guy I personally call Mr. flying-brain-with-eyes-and-bright-white-teeth-who-is-lootable-but-has-no-loot.

Oh and a terminator from terminator salvation having the ability to punch kill me from 300 ft away.

And how there is no stealth gameplay in farcry 2 .

Edit: I just saw someone mention SW:TFU and I had to say another WTF moment was when the game failed on me and decided to stop tracking force points.

I didn't think this happened to other people also! He got hit by the Matriarch's psy blast and started stretching then didn't he? or did something different happen to your shepard to start it off?

Resident Evil 4 - Ada's alive? WTF?!

Resident Evil 5 - Zombies with guns? And a cover system? Is this Gears of War? WTF?!

Yes... because he is just that badass.

And then he seduced their women while putting down a rebellion, which took place during the geth invasion he stopped.

When asked for a comment on the matter, he responded, "That was one of my slower mornings."

Said Shepard was in fact mostly Paragon.

Renegade Shepard on the other hand destroyed a city, seduced the men as well, used the corpses of the geth to beat to death the rebellion, and then started a barroom brawl because they were out of towels in the bathroom and he figured punching people would disguise him wiping his hands on them. He commented "Yeah, that morning was my slowest ever."

I think for me, my biggest WTF moment came at the plot twist in Jak 3.

 

[The Harkinator]

The single most hilarious moment of my Fallout 3 experience - After seeing a Deathclaw fly and let it decide a lifetime of flight was much better than clawing my eyes out wasn't worthwhile anymore (works for me) I was hunting Yao Guai with mines and a snipe rifle, picked off one of the buggers with a couple of lucky sniper shots then panicked as the other one decided to show me exactly what it thought of my sniping and fired the other three shots at the mines (just as it was leaping over it at me). The Yao Guai was fired into the air (I checked on VATS and it was still alive) then came down 30 seconds later, all its limbs came off on impact.

That was both WTF and funny, then my game crashed.
