WTF PS3?!

I don't know if it's the slim or the 3.0 firmware. I believe it's the firmware but I read Sony is looking into it. Hope they hurry it up!

I'd agree it sounds like a conflict between some games programing and the new firmware, perhaps a new feature added in wasn't liked by the games already sold?

I dont think it's an entire feature, just a chunk of the new programming. But hey I'm no software expert so my opinion isn't worth much on the matter

Actually I think that's a problem with Saints Row 2 itself since that happened to me a fair amount

Well 360 owners who installed the game on their console had no problems, but since I don't own a PS3 I don't know how it works for PS3's.

it happened to me on GTA4 when i was in the annihilator on multiplayer. i solved it by switching off my ps3 and turning on my 360

I have a 60GB first gen and mine froze once during Infamous, but I just restarted the system and had no problem with it afterwords. (It was before firmware 3.0 by the way)

I only had a problem like this a while ago, it happened to me 3 times when I was playing a game that I borrowed from a friend. I had my ps3 sitting on the floor at the time and when it froze for a 3rd time I put it up on my receiver on its side and I have not had a problem since.

the web browser freezes alot ,started doing it when on youtube , and when playing fallout 3 , its starting to drive me fucking quackers ... could it be jealous of my xbox 360 ? ... it makes me really miss ps2 , maybe it's just sony being an asshole , nah just a firmware deffect ... again ...

I NEVER put consoles on their side. (Except the Wii, but that's a given)
I think my freezing was from the newest update. I did really have problems until that update.
