I own both consles and from what ic xbox have 4 or 5 DIFFERENT games repackaged with a different baddly written story and interchangeable emotonless spacemarine/fem fitale

ps3 on the other hand has at least 5 or 6 different games again repackaged blah blah blah
thats not to say that ps3 is better the 1-2 extra games are usually good ideas badly executed but at least they have a little origonallity.

I say that there is no advantage that the X-Box has besides a lower price and Halo 3 (Saleswise no Halo flame wars) If the PS3 had a lower price, it would be much more popular because the actual system is better

Yeah too bad people don't count the 360 peripherals. I mean cmon 90 bucks for a freaking wireless adapter and also addition memory is also pretty expensive. That and I hate paying for the internetz.

both consoles have their good and their bad. Deal with it, enjoy one or if you got the cash buy both, I love my 360 but i'd be lying if I said i didn't want a PS3 as well. this also has a lot to do with what you look for in your titles, There are original releases on the 360 but maybe there not your brand of game for example I really enjoyed Viva Pinata, and i'd like to believe that game is a little different then Gears of War. PS3 has littlebigplanet which im dying to try, along with infamous and Metal Gear 4. the point is your telling people not to argue about something, yet in the way you deliver it, your trying to invoke an argument. WERE THE ESCAPIST WE DONT FALL FOR YOUR TOMFOOLERY

was actually having a discussion on this subject with a frined and we wonderd what the rest of the gaming community thought.

the above was my opinion on releases. i think both cosoles have pailed in comparison to the previous gen of consoles.

personally i'll play anything hell if i could plug a pad into roadkill i'd try for the high score.

1) Don't make threads like this: they incite bad things.

2) You should ALWAYS spellcheck before threading. Yeesh. AND NEVER use stuff like "ic" as a substitute for "I see"... that's just laziness.

1. You and your friend need to meet some women. Seriously.
2. I wasn't aware that the escapist forums constituted the whole and entirety of the "rest of the gaming community"
3. If you truly wanted to know what the rest of the gaming community thought about this, you could have saved yourself and us a great deal of time by typing "Are xbox 360 games superior?" into google.
4. No game library could ever be "superior" to another since each individual game player is different. Honestly, most exclusives would be games people would love if they were available on both systems. I am confident that if Halo 3 or Gears of War came out on the PS3, many of the Sony "fanboys" who poo-poo it would become strangely silent as they would be too busy having a blast playing either of those games. I also think that if MGS4 and God of War came out on the Xbox, many people who think those titles are overrated would quickly be putting them on their gamefly lists.

Bottomline, if you ask a hundred people which system has a better gaming library, you'll get 100 different answers because everyone has different tastes in games. Chances are you'll even find a person or two (i.e. chicks, kids, moms) that think the Wii has the best games.
