The anime is actually about vampires. Seriously. It's called Tsukiyomi: Moon Phase
It has some very deep gothic undertones. In one scene a character's head is blasted apart in a very gory fashion. In another a vampire is impaled on a giant spike. The series is actually very good but... the opening makes you wonder what the creator was smoking. The little girl in the opening is a vampire. DO NOT JUDGE THIS ANIME BY THE OPENING ALONE!!! If the first episode had this opening in the beginning I almost certainly would not have started watching it.
