Hey, don?t know how many on this site are wrestling fans, but does anybody know if edges cervical vertebrae injury and retirement due to said injury is real or story line.

Hope its story line, edge is one of my all time favourites and has probably been WWE's best heel since his 1st world title win. Also, in his brief face turn became what Orton failed to do, connect with the WWEs adult audience.

From what I've heard, it's real.

But you know wrestlers -- he'll be back in a couple of years.

I never really cared for Edge. If it is real and he can't wrestle I guess he'll just guest star in the next Fast and Furious.

As far as I have heard (and the places I look are usually right) its real. Hes been dealing with injuries for awhile now and this seems to be the final straw.

Edit: http://www.wrestlezone.com/ is the main one I use. Its a pretty good place to look up storylines/spoilers/etc if you want or you can avoid the spoilers easily.

They may do what they did for people like Hulk Hogan. He slowly gets to the ring and then people run into his fist.

nah, Edge is a good worker with some decent wrestling basics, if he gets in the ring ever again, he would still have the ambitions to provide an entertaining match... but he's awesome at promos and the mic, so maybe he can stand in front of the camera in some other form

I'm hoping they make use of him further. There are several options for him, he could be a color commentator or interviewer. He could even be a manager, especially with the whole "Ultimate Opportunist" thing. The only issue there is that WWE doesn't make use of managers as much as they used to/should.

It's real.

But he'll probably be back, just not actually wrestling. Some silly talk show or commentating or something along those lines.

And if someone does stand up to him, he'll just do a beat down or someone else will stand in. Can also see Christian winning the WWE title at the next payperview to carry on Edge's storyline.

Well at least something good can come of this.

Always fucking hated Edge. His finisher was literally a move everyone else does/can do. Just like Batista had a powerbomb, Eddie/RVD had a frog splash...finishers should be fucking unique.
And he was an egotistical twat. I still remember him using his Money in the Bank thing after the elimination chamber on the victor, John Cena. That was the last time i saw wrestling... :(
