Movie Bob did a review of X-Men First class, in which he said that the new movie effectively deleted Last Stand & Wolv Origins.

What did he mean? I watched the movie, but I missed the part that erased the other movies. A little help here?

Emma frost being how she is in this one, negates how she is in Wolverine. Ie: She'd be a lot older.
Also, General Stryker, he in this one would mean he'd be older in Wolverine, meanign he'd be even older in the other Xmens.

It completely retcons that scene in X-Men 3 where Xavier and Magneto go recruit a young Jean Grey because now: A) Magneto left long before that point, and B) Xavier was crippled long before that point.

Well Last Stand in terms of the fact that the story line in last stand revolves partially on the fact that Xavier and Erik are still friends very late until their lives and their split is fairly recent. However in first class this split on ideals occurs at the end of the movie while they are still young. Thus making Last Stand/ the whole Dark Phoenix thing impossible to happen in such a timeline. There is also the whole the war against the mutants is supposed to start in Last Stand, but humans (at least both the navy's of the Soviet Union and the USA) find out about them in this movie and the war is kind of starting, thus starting the whole battle against mutants during the Cold War.
In terms of Wolverine Origins, this is a bit shaky, I guess what he thinks deletes this movie is the fact that at the end of Origins we see Wolverine freeing the Ice Queen (the diamond psychic) and the fact that the government clearly knows about mutants and is doing stuff with them. Whereas in First Class the government is just finding out about the mutants and the Ice Queen is one of the bad guys, and this is around the time she should be locked up waiting to be freed by Wolverine.

Thanks for the help... I was expecting something a little more... clear. He specifically mentioned Last Stand & Origins. Wouldn't those things mentioned above also affect the first two movies?

[Edit] Oh, ok, so it's not a particular scene but rather a kind of fridge logic. Cool, thanks. That helps alot.

I thought that was his father. Didn't Xavier ask about his son William? Or did I hear it wrong?

Possibly, but, the Stryker in the other Xmens has his son lobotomised for being a mutant. So I think it's the same one in both films. Wanting to stop his sons mutantness.

The Stryker in First Class is apparently William Stryker Senior (as X2's Stryker's son was named Jason and he was also a Colonel in X2 and Origins).

Also I heard somewhere that Origins: Wolverine takes place at the end of the 70s (as Victor causing trouble during the Vietnam War led to them joining up with Stryker and the rest of the movie taking place 6 years after Logan leaves). I hold that Origins still happened and Kayla's sister just happens to have a diamond skin mutation (mutations aren't mutually exclusive and sometimes the same power does show up in different ways (IE Havoc and Cyclops)) and be named Emma...though there is that part with Xavier standing at the end...

Just my thoughts

The William Stryker in XFC is indeed Stryker Sr. as it is fairly evident by Xavier's reading his mind.
As for mutant hysteria / mutants vs humans, the fact that a handful of Soviet and US Navy folks have seen the mutants does not mean jack. The governments might have easily hidden things...

However there are a number of things that don't fit and make me scream "reboot":
1) Beast is shown in X2 in his human look (brief cameo) speaking with none other than SEBASTIAN SHAW on tv
2) Beast's furry mutation in X3 is apelike and not catlike (this means they've screwed it badly in XFC, as given the prehensile feet mutating in a gorilla would have made much more "sense")
3) Prof X walking in X3.
4) Raven never mentions her past with Xavier in any of the three X movies, and if I remember correctly Xavier does not know there's a shapeshifter in Magneto's team (he'd have developed countermeasures to detect Raven's specific brainpath or stuff like that...)
5) Moira McTaggart is a master geneticist in the X trilogy, a (very hot) CIA operative here.
6) Professor X does not remember Logan. Ok, it might have sounded foolish to have Patrick Stewart say "Yeah, I've seen the guy once, tried to recruit him but he told me to go f*** off"
7) Where have Azazel, Riptide, Angel Salvadore and White Queen gone?
8) Speaking of demon-looking teleporters, why neither Xavier nor Magneto, upon meeting Nightcrawler, remember about Azazel?

The most important aspect is that in X3 it shows a scene of Xavier walking while still being close friends with Magneto. In Wolverine Origins he is also depicted walking at the end.

That said plenty of stuff in the films could be hand-waved with stuff from the comics. So Hank Mccoy appears normal in X2, easy he's using an holographic image inducer he designed. And Magneto has switched sides several times (he was headmaster of Xavier's for a few years) and Xavier has gained the ability to walk and lost it again, several times.
