Hang on, I thought Havok shot lasers out of his arms, not chest.
Havok could shot the energy from his skin, he used the hands to direct it, the costume lets him direct it easier with the chest.

At the end of the trailer, you do see him shooting a blast from his hand. I'm assuming that while he's learning to control it, he channels his power through that chestpiece instead.

OT: The more trailers that come out, the better this is looking. Only a month to go before we see if it holds up.

finally, the X-men film the way it SHOULD be, story about big event, and many little events focuses on each individual characters. X-men is like a mini avenger, all members have a story to tell, each, qualify to be their own "main characters", but put them together, they form a team, in which their powers multiply because they use them in a combo! I wishes to see "fastball spacial" being called, and pulled off in this movie... fans would be happy. I know not how accurate this movie is to the comic, but it sure look more "X-men" then the last 4 movies!

Last I checked, First Class referred to the original team of Cyclops, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Ice Man, Beast, and Angel.

Why do you do this to us Fox? WHY?!
Because this one is set in the sixties and is meant as a prequel to the other X-Men movies.

And also the Banshee trailer was pretty damn awesome.

I really like how they are handling Havoc and Beast.

And Beast is a Wer-Wolf? Christ...
No, the trailer suggests that it happened as in the comics. McCoy devised what he thought was a cure, but it only pushed his mutation further.

I did not know that, but I have only lightly read X-men comics.

[sub]That and my optimism is low considering the last movie was horrible.[/sub]

So the line up is all changed, and chronology is all mixed up - but that could be a good thing, right? Not just watching adventures of X-mens you know from comics, but an alternative version of them... I know that sounds riddiculous, but I think it might not suck if someone doesn't hold too much onto established marvel universe.
Banshee is awesome in this one! He was such a tragic character - losing his powers and such, and later his faith was passed on to his daughter that had to be Deadpool's crush XD

It would work better as a TV Serial ;)

Realistically it would do better as a TV serial, but that would be expensive, so that's why they do it as movies instead.

The X-Men suffer from too many good characters syndrome. There are too many good X-Men to actually make a movie about all of them.

The problem will ALL previous X-men movies from this timeline is that they aren't about many characters at all - they were about Wolverine.

Looks awesome
But there are so many new characters to introduce, backgrounds to show, that im afraid the main story will be rubbish.

OH MY GOD THE ABERCROMBIE & FITCH MODELS ARE ALL MUTANTS!

Also, I'm sick of a series "rebooting" when they spend a trilogy explaining the fucking thing. They get to the point where they can focus on a story instead of origin stories and they go back to telling origins stories.
