And I refuse to contribute to the devaluation of the word 'hate' for the purposes of this thread. It's thrown around too much, it has no meaning anymore. A mild passing dislike for something is described as vitriolic hatred nowadays. It's ridiculous.

Watching sports. Here in the U.S. it's "American" football and baseball while in other places it mostly seems to be soccer (what the natives would call "real" football). At work *everyone* is always blathering on constantly about the previous night's game and seem to have nothing else to talk about.
I watch a game and I am as uninterested in what's going on as I am in watching a foot fetish video (not that there's anything wrong with foot fetishes or football if that's your thing).

MLP

Not everyone who's in the real world likes it, but everyone on the internet apparently does. While the show is indeed original and well-animated, it's terribly dull and puts a lot of focus on sharing and kindness which is far from educational or relevant for the brony fanbase or anyone who isn't little girls.

People who like MLP like the bright colors and dont realize there are probably better things to like, like anime catgirls. Like anime catgirls like normal nerds.

Sharing is socialism
Anime catgirls > MLP = opinion.

Personal tastes, my friend. Personal tastes.

OT: I seem to be the only one around here who hates hot chocolate. Granted, I'm all for eating any other form of the mighty cocoa bean, but hot chocolate, as in the beverage, is undrinkable for me. Perhaps it's less the fact that it's chocolate and more the fact that I can't physically swallow any drink that isn't cold.

...or maybe I'm just weird.

I hate hating things on the internet. Its just, so, violent. Seriously. Liking things on the internet too. Basically having an opinion on the internet. So many people seem to love this nowadays, but I personally hate it. I have opinions, but I don't constantly feel the need to either shove what I do like down people's throats 24/7 and DEMAND that they love it as much as I do or suffer the consequences. Nor do I like personally insulting or threatening anyone on the internet because they either like something I do not, or hate something that I do like. Despite the many people who often find that this is the ONLY thing they can do on the internet.

I know, totally weird, right?

Also, in spirit of OT: Nutella. I just can't stand that stuff, and whenever my wife teases me by eating a huge spoonful of it, I reach for the peanut butter for revenge :)
"Shove down throats". This is ironic, because so far the most awkward posts have been the ones railing against the idea of the thread. Everyone who is just complying with what the thread is supposed to do is having a good laugh.

The Godfather and Apocalypse Now both just had bland, uninteresting characters. I just couldn't care about them, so why would I care about the story at all? And it's not like they're exciting or anything like that. Now, to be fair, I didn't finish The Godfather, but the first hour gave me a really poor impression of it. Those are really the only well-received movies I didn't like.

And of course, in games, Chrono Trigger. About the same criticisms as The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. Like The Godfather, I didn't finish it, but if a game gets exhausting at around halfway through the main story when I'm attempting to speed through it, there's an issue.

I hate Cinnamon Flavored gum, I love Cinnamon, but I could never understand why the gum tastes like nothing but burning. Same goes with Flaming Hot Cheetos. This might just be a local thing but everyone here love Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Also, I know this might not be exactly related to the topic, but I hate when people tell stories about how B.A. they were this one time in a video game *more often than not CoD* talking about stuff like "WELL ONE TIME I NADED THIS GUY FROM ACROSS THE MAP". Although I might only feel like everyone likes this because everyone I work with are really, REALLY into CoD.

Forrest Gump. It's schmaltzy, contrived, pretentious, platitudinous Oscar bait that panders to American self-importance. As for others liking it? I don't give a shit. Subjectivity is subjective.
I know how you feel. Everyone in my family loves Forrest Gump. They insist on watching it every Thanksgiving. I'm not bothered that they like it, but they always try to convince me that I should like it too.

My disdain for Forrest Gump isn't helped by the fact that it won Best Picture the same year that Pulp Fiction and the Shawshank Redemption were nominated.

I still hate The World Ends With You.

Having to put up with the main characters again in Kingdom Hearts 3D doesn't make me want to rip their heads off any less.

Neku is Square's biggest asshole since Squall, Shiki's a ***** (so they're PERFECT for each other), Beat's "fuckin' annoying, yo", Rhyme's just as much of a non-character as always, and Joshua... well, having such a feminine-sounding voice actor makes him all that much more flaming.
Even if none of that were true, TWEWY would still be absolutely unbearable...

Hearing this on a constant loop while trying to figure out what to do is UNBEARABLE!

Wrex. His ass was killed in ME1 as soon as I got the chance, for some reason he just annoyed me to no end, even though the internet seems to love him.

Who said I was talking about this thread? I was talking the attitude on the internet in general. And if you noticed, I did make a light and compliant comment as well, involving just my hate of Nutella. So see? I made a serious comment/observation about the internet in general (not specifically targeting anything from in the thread). And a simple funny comment in the pure spirit of the thread. If you still have a problem, then I apologize if my post offended, but I still find it true.

Bruno Mars. I think his music is terrible dog vomit, but apparently others disagree with me, seeing as he's won a Grammy and his album has been in the Billboard Top 40.

I could care less if other people like his music. I still think it sucks.

And add a plus one for the "Liquorice is disgusting" brigade while you're at it.
