Wow, that's a rip off.
Guess that's one MORE thing I won't be purchasing due to retarded marketing.

Since when did capitalism have anything to do with "the right thing"? Or for that matter, Since when did MS have anything to do with "the right thing"? Last I heard getting our money any way they can was the idea, including cutting content from games and charging a nominal fee for the eventual DLC they make of it, or better yet forcing companies to charge for DLC they insist they want to release for free (Epic was one of them).Tom Goldman said:It seems like Microsoft should do the right thing here.
Oh man that strip is brillant! My first (and last) time on home was pretty much just like that lol.scotth266 said:Given how oddly identical Sony and Microsoft have become over time, it's no surprise to me that Microsoft suddenly felt the insane urge to make their own version of Home. 360 owners rejoice: you can now get in on all that inane social platforming [http://art.penny-arcade.com/photos/435088716_9MqAz-L-2.jpg] that you were missing out on because you didn't have a PS3.
Fair enough, but I'm currently staring at a big tab on my browser window that says 'Get More Add-ons'. I have never felt the need to click this because I am perfectly happy with what I have and would never actually need to use any add-ons. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with other internet browsers. It's just that I'm used to IE and it has always been all I needed, and since I never use anything extra and have no need to, I'm going to stick with IE .Psychosocial said:Ever heard of addons? OT; Well, I've only bought Xbox Live Arcade Originals aside from Contra, so I don't really care, to be honest. They've probably got some reasoning for this, aside from the PS3 fanboys in this threads "monehhhhhhh".

Golly thanks! It's amazing what a few carefully placed periods and commas can accomplish. You should consider a career in forum translation. "This is sad. I like my 360, but stuff like this drives me nuts. It's bad enough that Microsoft gives us versions of Facebook and Twitter that don't have all the features, but we don't get last.fm or Netflix in Canada, and Zune is useless. Also, the high prices Microsoft charges for Games on Demand are ridiculous. As for things we could use on Xbox Live, we still don't have Internet browsers or email."
Well, I prefer hard copies of things so CDs, DVDs, and game disks must be in hand and then in system for me to enjoy. Downloading movies/TV shows is very nice but I'm not a part of it, at least not on XBL. As for Zune itself? Well, it's not so much the marketplace (because that hasn't changed all that much) as it is the actual program. Apart from the fact that we are forced to use it or never watch videos on the XBox 360 again, it's a clunky interface to say the least. It takes forever to load all my files. There's no sort option anywhere. Deleting files is useless as most things stay on the Zune interface indefinitely even when you don't have them on your hard drive. And they changed the 'Y' button from quick play to quick marketplace. Now, all of this is fixable through updates but until then, it's a piece of garbage that I am forced to use because they made it I can't watch the videos on my hard drive without it. But yes, MS is the way it is. I know the point of a busniess is to make money, but are they in the same dimension as we are? Do they know there's a recession? If they back all this up with a drop in Live price, I will be happy, but otherwise, M$ can go fuck itself.
I agree. I don't like the design of anything on the dashboard really. And the fact you must use Zune to play videos is a bit annoying. I wish there was an option to go back to the old dashboard.TheSchizoid said:Well, I prefer hard copies of things so CDs, DVDs, and game disks must be in hand and then in system for me to enjoy.
