Today I purchased Castle Crashers (which I greatly recommend to anyone thinking of buying it) and I bought 2000 Microsoft Points to pay for it.

Well now I have 800 extra and was wondering, what are some good XBLA games in the 800 point range? Preferably a full game, not a little puzzle game or something. Thanks.

Bomberman LIVE is only 600 points at the moment, it's 25% off this week. You can't go wrong with Bomberman! *remembers Bomberman: Act Zero* Well, almost can't.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is also great, if you like fighting games of course. Mega Man 9 is also excellent, although rather challenging, and you have to dig the retro look.
Or you could get two 400 point games, then I'd recommend DOOM and Sonic. Good times!

Really? I didn't know that. But then again I've only had my 360 for a couple of months.
Well, I would have paid 800 for them too, especially for DOOM. Heck, for DOOM I would have paid 1200! Yes, that would have been really overpriced, but I still would have wanted to get it. DOOM! Woo!

Castlevania: SOTN is 800 points and it makes babies stop crying.
They just stopped crying for you? Man, the babies I exposed to that game were permanently satiated, and are now prone to random, long lasting fits of glee.

I had it on my Xbox360 when I use to own one. DOOM is great at lands and in co-op. The controller is also mapped really well to the game.

Totally agree, Castlevania: SOTN is amazing, it was my first Castlevania game, and compared to the 3 or 4 other ones I've played, the best.
Soul Caliber is a lot of fun too, if you've never played another Soul Caliber that is.
Or even Small Arms, sure it's a Smash Bros. knock off, but it's tons of fun, and what's not great about lighting a space marine on fire with a flame-thrower?
Or Alien Hominid if you enjoyed Castle Crashers, it's hard as hell and a good single player game. (Plus it's made by the same company, whose name I can't remember at this time...)

Alien Hominid is awesome too, and as the guy above me pointed out, both games are made by The Behemoth, which you should support because it's a great company. If you like Metal Slug-esque games you should at least check out the demo.

Bionic Commando is also very awesome, as is N+.

Also, if you're up for a game of Castle Crashers, add me, my GT is my username. I'll probably start playing it frantically again once they release the patch.

Dang. When I saw the title Castle Crashers was the first thing I thought of.

Anyway, for exactly 800 points, the only thing that comes to mind is Geometry Wars²: Retro Evolved. I played the demo and liked that, but I haven't tried the full game. Wicked music though.

I can't really think of anything else. But all arcade games have demos, so maybe keep trying out different things that tickle your fancy until you find something you like.
