xbox 360 achievments gone?

I signed on to xbox today, everythings okay, i have my gamerscore, and im playing mass effect 3...i get an achievment that i already got the day before, click on my achievments....theyre ALL gone...as are my avatar awards, theyre all slowly coming back...alll of them except for my mass effect 3 achievments, its not a huge deal as its not like my memorys gone, its just annoying, this happen to anyone else?

Sign out and re-download your profile and all should be fixed. Seems to have happened on a pretty big scale, but Xbox Support have sorted, it it seems

Hey guys. Odd place to pose such a question and not usually my type of topic, but I wanted to know if this happened to anyone else.

My friend and I logged on to XBOX Live this morning and we discovered that all of our achievements were gone. The points were there, but the achievements themselves weren't.

Normally I wouldn't care, but issues with achievements could be construed as a sign of hacking and I'd rather not get my account shut down.

So, I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them this morning, if it's a sign of some server wide issue, or if anyone knows why it happened in the first place.

EDIT: There's apparently a fix if this happened to you. You just need to download your profile and then it'll get your achievements back. I still want to know how that happened.
