Wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I have a 500gb external HDD I wanted to use for my laptop and to expand my 360's space. The whole drive has been formatted to FAT32 and partitioned using Swissknife, and my plan was to have a 16gb partition for installing games to/storing saves on as I won't be able to do that on larger than 16gb afaik, and the rest of the drive is a large FAT32 partition I have transferred all my media files onto.
The xbox picks up the 16gig partition, can transfer and install to that no problem. But it doesn't pick up the media files on the rest under video library. I know the files themselves will work as they've worked on a usb drive into the 360 before, so it's not that.
Is it impossible to get the 360 to recognise both partitions in the way that I want? Do I have to choose between using the HDD for game stuff only and being limited to 16gb, or using it for media only and using the whole drive by deleting the partition?
EDIT: Ok, wtf. The xbox deleted the partition and everything on the other (supposedly non-accessible) portion of the HD. So I've just lost all my media files.
