So today I was browsing the internets to see if it was possible to buy replacement control sticks for my 360 controller since on two of my controllers the rubber has all but rubbed off, and on my remaining controller the ware is starting to show. Not only did I discover that control sticks were easily available, but it's possible to buy whole controller shells for relatively cheap prices (most were £10-£15 but I saw some super cheap ones for <£5) and I was tempted to buy one to give one of my old controllers that are starting to turn yellow a shiny new unique look. So my question is has anyone else tried this? These things look simple enough to replace, but is it harder than it looks? What is the quality of this stuff like? Is it decent plastic or crappy tacky stuff that doesn't fit together properly/falls to pieces?

Check the screws on your controller before attempting to try and replace anything. Depending on the controller generation some of the controllers have really annoying screws (like the fucking triangle ones that NO ONE has a screwdriver for), which can make it really difficult to replace parts.

Yeah it seems you need a special screwdriver for it but they're easy to get hold of though.
