XBOX 360 HELP

Around the time Halo: Reach came out my xbox started acting strange doing things like, disc read errors, random freezes, and blue screens popping up out of nowhere.

So i tested all my games and only the new ones like Fallout: NV, Fable 3, and Halo: Reach would do the disc read errors and freezes. But the slightly older one like RDR, ME2, and DAO worked fine so what could be the problem.


Also i'm on my fourth xbox, i got it around september 2009 so it's not that old.

I had that when I got Fable 2. It then melted a hole through the metal in the circuits. Prepare for the worst.

Do you install the games to you HDD?

If you don't, I would recommend it, it removes disk read errors, since the game isn't read off the disk.

Yeah i tried that it just keeps freezing instead.

Yeah sounds like the RRoD is imminent.

Corrr this is gonna be an intense few days hahaha.

Scour the Microsoft website, see if those symptoms show up...

...but yeah, probably RROD, unlucky man:/.

But I mean, if its your 4th, you should know how good the Microsoft customer service is about it and you'll get it fixed up for free in no time:]
...provided it qualifies for warranty :O

If it doesnt qualify for warrenty, just a clean and reapplication of thermal paste on the cpu and gpu might sort the problems out. Of course to do that you will need to replace the x-clamps, very simple to do though.

Yeah they do have good customer service on my 4th RRoD i got it back in 5 days.
