Xbox 360/ PS3 Comparison Speculation

Okay, so every time I'm on youtube and see a 360 vs PS3 video, PS3 wins. But all my friends in real life that have both prefer PS3 and say that they hardly ever use PS3. Why is that??? I honestly like 360 more for it's interface and exclusives but it's a complete black and white factor where people on the internet like PS3 and locals like 360. Is that how it is for you guys or just me?

OT: I only have a xbox, so I'm biased. The only reason I like the xbox more is because the console exclusives are better in my opinion. I still like the PS3 because of the internet, and free online gameplay. I am more indifferent towards the two, and I find that just getting over which one is better and enjoying whichever I feel like playing works a lot better than debating between things meant for fun

I honestly like both, but my PS3 has been used a lot lately as a media center and my 360 gets more game time. It might be that I haven't bought a PS3 game since March, or it might be that I have 3 roommates that each have 360s and always want to play multiplayer. I have never met a person in person who preferred the PS3 to the 360. It might be because the 360 is cheaper than the PS3 so more people have it. Other than that, I have no idea.
Oh and youtube commentators are usually retarded (I'm sorry if I offend and retarded people out there reading this, you are not as bad as youtube commentators and I actually enjoy your input into things as it is constructive and you are enjoyable people to hang around with.)

My 360!!!!! Yeah that's right, 360, in my opinion sucks! All of the exclusives for 360 are also on the PC and all the games that are for both PS3 and 360 tend to look and play better on PS3.

plus, I just like the Sony exclusives better.

This one is more specific than that, the topic is comparison of OPINIONS (internet community vs local community) not directly 360 vs PS3.

right, that's probably why local community prefers 360: social value. People who give it good marks on the internet aren't outside as often, I guess.

Its really simple.

People who have a good PC love the PS3/Wii.

People who dont have a PC like the 360.

90% of the time this holds true. The exception being that some people prefer the controller than mouse and keyboard so they play 360.

I use my 360 more because gaming with my friends is what I'm aiming for most of the time. But the PS3 has more "hidden treasure" type games that I enjoy playing alone sometimes, not to mention playing my old PS2 games like GoW or Shadow of the Colossus.

Why would they not play the PS3 if they prefer it? I say screw the comparisons. You can only really tell game differences apart if they are side by side (usually) and if you're looking that closely into it then you really aren't buying the game for entertainment as much as justification for having the system.

Both consoles are great.

That said, I would have told you 360 wins for me hands down a few months ago, but I am thoroughly enjoying the few PS3 exclusives that have rolled out recently, most notably inFamous. No 360 exclusive that has come out in the past few months has been particularly interesting, for me anyway.

On topic, I like both, for fairly different reasons.

I prefer the PS3. Because the PS3 has Metal Gear, Ratchet and Clank and inFamous.

Plus my PC covers most of the 360 games not on PS3. Though I'm still waiting for Gears 2 and Fable 2.

I got sick of the failure rates and repair times of the xbox 360, quite frankly, if they repaired my console 3 times, I expected a new one at the end of it, forwarded a polite letter to them. They never replied. Sold all my xbox merchandise, then bought a Playstation 3, never had a problem since. Although game selection favours Xbox, I am still very happy with my decision.

But from what I've tried of a PS3 I wouldn't use it for games so much as internet browsing, and all the other media options. As with my Xbox I just play games on it. But I only have a 360, so I prefer that.
