Xbox 360 - Save Game question

Hey all Escapees! Just got a quick question about save game files on the Xbox 360. If anyone could help that would be awesome.

I have unfortunately misplaced a game disc (Red Dead Redemption) but my friend said he would lend me his disc for a while. Will all my save games/multiplayer info work if I run the game on his disc?

Anyone done this before?
