Xbox Backwards Compatibilty Help

I just recieved the game Morrowind: Game of the year edition. I got a recent update from a demo disc from offical xbox magazine and the game says i need a update. I don't have xbox live (its not available with my internet). What can i do to make TES 3 work?

That's a difficult one, do you have any friends with Xbox Live? I can't really think of any solution other than fix it at a friends...

The first place you should have gone is Xbox's official website where they offer solutions to a variety of problems... including yours. Their solution is for you to download the required update on your PC and then burn it to a disc. I've done it myself and it works.

You'll have to find that on their website yourself. Consider it your latest quest, dear adventurer.

If you go on the xbox website you can order a disc that has the software already on it, or you can download a file off the website and burn it onto a cd then follow the instructions. Hope this helps

I think that would work, but I don't see why you don't just get xbox live yourself. You don't need to pay for the basic package, and that would let you download the thing you need.

It is an ISO. You burn it using an image burner.

I think Morrowind TES is one of the last games to patched for BC on 360 before they stopped altogether so you can, and if you did bring your HD or console over to your friends it would work

You can get XBL with dial up (I had it for years). It's not awesome, and anything you need to download takes, oh, about a year and a half, but it IS doable.
