I know this isn't a tech help forum but I am at the end of my rope here and there seems to be no information to my specific problem on the internet. My Xbox Live connection seems really wonky; sometimes it works flawlessly, others it won't let me connect at all but the most frequent problem is that it lets me in for a few minutes, kicks me out and I can connect again with no problem, only to be kicked again. My normal internet is FLAWLESS, and I use the same Ethernet cable (hell I even use the same monitor) to play Live. Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution to it? I'm thinking it might just be my Xbox being faulty, this never happened with my old Pro but it got RROD. I got this new Elite two months ago and the problem started happening about a month after that.

The problem may be with your service provider, and not necessarily your Xbox.
And since you said Ethernet cable, I can assume that you are using a wired connection, so your Router/Modem may be in need of inspection as well.

Check to make sure you connection with your modem is good and check with your provider, that or use a hammer.

Isnt a good connection always dictated by where you live to some extent as well?

The same problem occured with a friend of mine, this problem only finished after he changed the router he owned (Though this was also a change of ISP, so please take your pick).
I'd attempt to forward your ports on the router first and if that stabilises it a little then it's still gained ground.
