Xbox Dashboard problems

Hey Guys, I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue with the new Xbox360 dashboard upgrade. Everything seems to load so much slower, taking a minute to simply load up the button to confirm your payment.

So is this just an isolated incident or are others having this problem?

well i am having problems that it wont download so i can not go on xbox live at the moment as it just asks me to download the new update then when i do it fails.This is why you shouldnt have mandatory updates grrr.

I hear they hid the indie marketplace, is this true?

I might temporarily hardwire my 360 to get the update, if it's actually a better interface. And then yank the cord out and drag it back upstairs.

I see no difference what so ever. I'm just happy that Netflix has a search function now.

After you said this I checked. Once you are at games market place, you go down one tier with the controllers stick and see it on screen. I don't think it's hidden at all.

Hmm...I heard they put it in something called "specialty store".

It's much, much faster than before but it was just fucking annoying to have it forced upon me.

I come home from town with Rock Band 3 and the keyboard I am so excited to play... What's that? I have to install a mandatory update? Fuck!!

No problems for me, but I'll I have done on XBL since the update is watch some netflix movies and listen to last fm.

Just remeber, its only just gone up so its bound to encounter problems, hopefully things like that will be fixed.

I was more concerned as to why it took so long to download but I'll need to check after I reset my internet connection because is was running slow.

Only had a few minuets of dashboard time today but it might have been running a little sluggish from the update.

My experience with the 360 update:

360 Slim: Loads much faster.
360 Elite: Loads the same as the slim.
Pre-HDMI 360: Loads slightly slower than before update.

In other words, if you're using one of the original, god-awful, constantly red-ringing models, then you might want to consider either a.) opening it up and applying a fix to reduce heat or b.) selling it and buying a newer model or c.) pulling the thing out of the cramped 'entertainment center' you keep it in, where heat is destroying your console.
