Xbox live and Braid

I've heard a lot about Braid in the past few months. People say it's great and such. The question I have is: what exactly is it? And should I get it?

On that note, can you connect to xbox live if you don't have an $100 wireless adapter and your wireless router is unreachable?

Its called get a longer cat-6 cord if you can't reach the router.

Braid was the only game that really attracted me, so yeah I'd be interested too how it plays.
Now it's coming to PC so I can finally try it

Sorry, 80 bucks. Still a lot. Anyway, does anyone know what the game actually is? Is it a platformer? I don't know... and I'm too lazy to wikipedia it. Yes, it's a verb now.
