Xbox Live connection

Is there a way to connect to Xbox live via wi-fi. I play my xbox on my familys boat constantaly and wish I could connect to Xbox live because generaly I cannot bring my Xbox home. So is there a way to play Xbox live without having to connect your Xbox to your computer?

For a good hundred dollars. However there has to be a wireless connection available.

Not if you're miles away from an access point.
