i play multiplayer games on my PC. i play my single player games on my consoles; so doesn't effect me at all.

people WILL complain, and people WILL butch about it for a while; but in the end, people are not going to really care, because they're still gonna fork out for it 'cause they still want to play their games with others.

I'm sorry, this is one price raise too much for me. You charge me out the ass for Live anyway, now you add 15-20 bucks to that price, fuck off. I am filing an official complaint to tell them how insane they are being. I wont be renewing at that price. My subscription is up in December. I am either going to buy another year at it current price or speed up my purchase of a ps3. But fuck that, they can't get away with charging whatever they want.

Steam provides a simlar service for absolutly nothing. Which is why steam will never be on 360 but is coming to PS3. There was an article on it the other day.

Unfortuantely this really seems to be their attitude which is a shame. As with that money I don't see why they can't pay for proper full time mods that ban people that do things like Mic spam and other things. I kind of like the aesthetic more, but other then the Mii rip-offs I'm not aware of any features the PS3 lacks.

I agree I hear all this XBL is better "Moar content " and all that bull but other than he old Xbox games and few exclusive arcade games everything is available on the PSN. PSn also hs great ps1 titles, PSN arcade games like Joe Danger to offer.

No it doesn't. Xbox Live Gold isn't even worth using for free, let alone that it would have something that makes it worth paying for.

This probably wont change much. People aren't going to boycott XBL over a $10 rise.

It won't be a big exodus or anything but I know at least one guy who's been thinking about canceling gold. This might be the extra push he needs to cut the cord.

XBL was around longer and the XBOX 360 has outsold the PS3, so microsoft figure they can charge for it, eventually they'll have to stop i mean steam's free and so is PSN.

This might be enough to kick me to the PS3, though not until I get a job and can save up for one. So it's possible that they'll suck a few extra bucks from me, but if I can help it I might jump off the 360 bandwagon, for online at least.

I don't really see what the issue is. They haven't been correcting for inflation for the last 8 years and they've added loads of features. Compare xbox live for the original xbox to the service now.

Steam is just as bad as everyone else, we just don't like to admit it.

Well, Steam is free, and I rarely encounter an issue with it. So I definitely prefer it over Live.

Anyway, I don't even use my Xbox that much, so I don't see why I should keep on paying for Live. I'll probably cancel my subscription soon.
