Xbox Live question

I was wondering if there's a way to get rid of my old account and bring in my new account, for example right now when I sign in to Xbox.com with my email it logs me into my old Xbox Live account, I have a new one that I want to use or to switch over to my email and not some email I just made up, is there any way I can do this?

Yes, but I don't want to start up my Xbox and give you exact directions. On the blade where you can start a game from disc, go to the very last option on the right - the settings area. There should be a Membership section where you can change any info you want. Emails can only be changed once a month.

You want to use your actual email for a new account you made?
I had to do that once. First, I made a fake email. Changed it so my old account now had the fake email as its setting, then set the old email as the log in for my new account. (I'm sorry if I'm not much help here, I'm not very good with words today.)

So what you're saying is, if I give my old Xbox account my fake email, I can then give my actual Xbox account my actual email??

That's what I did. You just have to make sure the email you give to your old account isn't being used by a different xbox account. Once you make it so your real email isn't being used on xbox anymore, it will allow you to put it on your new xbox account.
