Xbox Live Update

i just got an xbox live update and i was wondering what it was for, it took about 5 minutes so i thought maybe it was something significant, any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

It brings back the ability to boot from the game disk.

While we're at it, I have a question.

When a game is installed and you click on the big picture of it saying 'play X game', will it automatically play from the hard drive now or do you still have to go into my XBOX and select it there?

I think my update screwed up my Oblviion file. I played it right after and I noticed a bunch of things:
- The shock spell animation was different, only certain enemies appeared, I would get disarmed too easily, enemies would spam knock me back with every hit, some enemies would dispel every single attack, etc.
Anyone experience anything similar in that game or others? (increased difficulty)
