I bought a second hand Xbox classic game but it doesnt run on 360 so does any one know a emulator that lets me play it on a Windows PC without ripping it first?

I suffered the same problem with MGS2. Luckily, it was £3 and it looks good on my pile.

Meh I'd just emulate the original versions instead of your actual Xbox game disc if it's a classics collection.

You bought the game, you own the rights to play it, not your fault if Microsoft messed up.

Heck they can't even get fable 1 running on 360 without it freezing and such. I pirated the PC version because of that.

Fuck Microsoft.

You don't, not really anyway, but heck, do it on principal.

(Either that or buy an xbox on ebay. They're pretty cheap, and the games are very cheap if you try hard enough to get them)

They can barely PS1 right.
thats somewhat subjective to your oppinion here, most ps1 emulators (expse and pSX) have a very high compatability rate.

Not directed at anyone in particular but before someone goes off saying emulators are illegal and warez there really not, if you dont dump the bios (for the emus that need bios) and rip your own games they are perfectly legal (read the first post, there is no way to run it from the disk without riping, due to the xbox drive spins backwards, so riping is your only option) (as pointed out with the bleem vs sony lawsuit (even thougth sony bankrupted them of course)) (sorry just pointing it out since on some forums they usually scream pirate)

and there is no reasonably compatable xbox emulator, the best one ive seen would be cxbx, and that only has three games playable at the moment.

in otherwords it would be quicker just to buy another xbox, unless you are willing to wait a while, heres a hint on the timescale "when its done".
