I think I'm definitely in the minority here. While the games using Kinect have certainly been disappointing on 360, I still like having one, if only for the voice controls alone. I consider myself to be a mix-core gamer - I play shooters one day, casual games the next, and fitness/workout games after. Kinect has been awesome for an in-house workout. And Shouts in Skyrim via Kinect = hell yes.
Yeah, people will immediately dismiss the new one because "lol gimmick right?" but they're not thinking of the people that actually want to use it for shit like fitness or casual family stuff. Let's not forget that the tech in the Kinect 2.0 dwarfs the first Kinect, by far, so there's a lot more potential. And that's all it is - potential.
The core gamer in me wants to be like "lol kinect no thx bro", but the optimist in me actually wants to see something great done with it. I actually like the fact that when I get my Xbox One, I'm getting the new Kinect with it. Obviously the first few games may suck, but I'm looking forward to what could come out of it all.
