Well I'll cut to the chase. My friends t.v. blew a fuse and his xbox still works fine but its not working on his new t.v. but he has an hd av cable so a little light on it is red. Is it suposed to be red? My xbox has a regular cable with no hd stuff so I'm of no help, just see if the ligh on yours (asuming you have a hd av cable) is normal green or if it glows at all.

Also the little ligh is only on the cables that have hd connections and regular connection, and it some kind of slot not realy a light but its glowing red.

The AV cables have no such lights.

But if the HD plugs are plugged in then the cable must be set to HD output (it's a switch at the base of the cable).

There is a little black port on the back and it is glowing red. There is also a switch to go between regular and hd.

A pro, his xbox is pretty old though.
i have a premium from summer 2006 (xbox was released nov 2005) and my component cable has no lights on it or at least from what i've seen. If he took a picture of it and put it on I might be able to think of something
