XCOM?

I just watched the trailer for XCOM. It was cool. I like the 50's atmosphere (The neighborhood reminds me of destroy all humans).

The slime monsters look cool, but if thats all we are fighting... Wow. Then A giant 2001 block o death floats out of the sky and blows up a car. Holy crap. Apparently its part of a series of old games I never heard of that were rts.

Thoughts on the reboot/ information on the old games. They are apparently good so I might as well chem them out.

It looks like bioshock to me, just alot brighter. Personally I think the enemies look alright but the trailer gives the impression they are the only ones you encounter aside from the monolith looking object and if that is so then the I havent got high hopes for the game.

I don't think it has any resemblence to the other XCOM games.

The lack of resmeblence to older xcom games irritates me, but I'm willing to judge the game on it's own merits. Might still be fun.
