Just my thoughts exactly..
Though it is kinda funny watching characters pop in and out so randomly.
Then there is Primer.
That was funny.
I haven't seen Primer but gathered that would have been funny to those who had. Pity, because it means I missed the main joke of it all.

12 Angry Men made me laugh more than Primer, but jeebus the "serious" charts are irritatingly complex. Good thing I decided to scan over them to the end, laugh, look puzzlingly at the last one (I never saw Primer, could be why it wasn't as funny for me), then go back and look closer to see the details and see where all the lines go. Wiki has taught me much this day.

I haven't either, but i think they were alluding to the fact that the movie is completely incomprehensible in its plot. Which was quite funny, cause it looked like a kid had kinda went 'screw this, i give up!'

Saw that literally a minute or so ago, and as soon as I saw the word "XKCD" in the title of a thread, I knew it would be about this.

Personally, I think it's great. It'd make a good poster.

The primer one is wrong. All the characters are almost constantly in close proximity to each other, but it's the timeline that's messy. Thus it should be a single bold, straight line drawn on a piece of paper, then crumpled, torn, chewed and presented with a pinch of cinnamon.

If it is accurate they put waaaaaayyyy too much time into doing that.
Almost. He missed the Scouring of the Shire; Saruman and Wormtongue, according to him, just disappear at the end of The Two Towers.

Ahhh, well there you go. I can't remember the Lord of the Rings that well, and my attention has been drawn to a new fantasy novel series, The Wheel of Time, at the moment. Nice spotting though.

I would post the picture myself but unfortunately its 3274 x 2067.
It resizes to fit the page. However, the picture would be unreadably small if you were to post it.

Thanks. It's a shame, that was the best part of the trilogy.

You think it's all done, everyone's had their own happy endings, and left their separate ways. And then they go and jackhammer you in the nuts with one of the most memorable (and dark) endings ever.

LOTR? I can't even remember the ending now, except it seemed to take ages to finish.

I think its funny. Not the funniest XKCD in my opinion... but funny. I cant even imagine how much time that would have taken.

Yeah, it was a bit like that...

I looked with mild interest and fascination at the work, pondering the time and effert that went into them, vaguely aware that the comic wasn't really that funny. Then I saw the Primer graph. It made me laugh very, very much.

He missed the bathroom scene in 12 Angry Men, but adding that would have made it a lot less funny..
