Did anyone read Y : The Last Man?
It was SO good, I've got like, 59 of the 60 issues, missing the penultimate one, and the last one is like 10 years in the future
Mega annoying
Has any read it, would like to fill me in?

There was a review of it floating about the user reviews section a couple months ago and it sounded pretty intriguing. Haven't read it myself but I would like to given the chance.

I thought it was pretty good, although I prefer "denser" comics. I breezed through Y The Last Man very quickly. All the cliffhangers pissed me off no end but they probably were the reason for the speed I read the series at, I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

I'm not going to tell you what happens in the last issue. You need to read for yourself for the full impact. Just track down the last issue, or buy all of the issues again in the deluxe oversized hardbacks that are being released now.

I'd say its well worth a read as long as you have a tolerance for a lot of pop culture references and cliffhangers. It's an unpredictable series that raises a lot of interesting questions.

I liked it. I just bought the books, though, rather than individual comic issues. I still blasted through each book in about one hour each, though. (ten hours total)

I absolutely love Y: The Last Man (I wrote the aforementioned review). I really don't want to spoil the last issue for you - you could probably find it on ebay or something, or buy the last volume (although that's kinda shitty if you already have all the other issues).

Here's [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.100908#1564734] the review, for anyone curious.

I have the first two volumes, but I'm not in the mood to read more at the moment: it's good stuff, but it's best taken in small, infrequent doses.

Last I heard Shia LeBouf is set to star.
I thought the star was supposed to be a man.

I'm not sure I'd agree. Because of the cliffhangers I always read it an arc at a time. I took the opposite approach, rushing through it over a weekend, and I'm not sure I fully appreciated it.

Pacing yourself with it is a tricky thing. Like you said, there are a lot of cliffhangers that make you want to immediately continue, but I was forced to wait a couple times since the next volumes weren't in stock at my local bookstore. It didn't really kill the momentum too badly having to wait like that, I guess. It's up to the reader's preference, I suppose.

I meant to say I wasn't sure I fully appreciated it due to the speed I read it at. And yeah, I found it impossible to pace myself with it. It wasn't that I had an addicted 'just one more' attitude, I just wanted to find out what happened next, all the while cursing that canny bastard Vaughan for using such cheap tactics to keep his readership. I'd intend to read one issue and end up reading until the end of the arc. As reading each issue takes such little time, I always took that option. I'm certainly glad I got into it at the end of its run, as I would have lost patience with the constant cliffhangers over six years.
