All of you awkward eternal virgins don't have Asperger's syndrome. It's a very rare condition that contrary to popular belief doesn't manifest itself with "1337 h4x012 5k1ll5".
Scan your medical history, bills, prescriptions etc. and put it here or you don't have Asperger's just like I don't have Tourette's, even though I curse all the time.
Calm down man. He certainly has the symptoms, and it's my impression that he was diagnosed. I didn't see him claiming to have "1337 h4x012 5k1ll5" anywhere.
Nevermind the "1337..." (it was a joke)
What I want to say is that you don't have AS unless you have a paper to prove that. Whenever this topic comes up somewhere, I have a feeling that 110% of world's Asperger's patients posts on The Escapist.

And even if you do have it, stop whining. I'm Polish and you don't see me bitching about Polack jokes FFS. It's comedy, it's meant to be offensive, so deal with it or don't watch ZP.
I'm Scots-Irish too, and people often make jokes about both sides of my heritage being at the pub all the time. I have papers from my pediatrician (who will soon have to be replaced by a psychiatrist once I get older because I won't be a child anymore). If I could find some papers to prove my condition, I would do it, but only if I have to. I can laugh at a good Drunken Irishman/Scotsman joke any day of the week, it's just that I've taken some significant flack and dropping of the "R" word at me in the past. I hope we don't have to resort to a petty comment war especially since I already had to retreat from an impending Real Life fight today.

He doesn't say anything about people with asperger syndrome, he talks about nerds with SELF diagnosed asperger syndrome. As in people trying to excuse for themselves being socially challenged, by saying they are special in some way, or that they are ingenius in some way.

He doesn't talk about people with asperger syndrome.

Thanks for clearing that up. Sorry Yahtzee. A misunderstanding was at hand.

NP.

One of my freind has asperger syndrome, with the papers to back it up. This guy can talk for hours about music, litteraly. It's not the same as being a nerd with social diffculties, although there is alot in common. Not to bash nerds with social diffculties, been there, and to certain still is.

You are clearly just trolling. The sentence:

"An awkward eternal virgin" is clearly intended as an insult. You can't take it out of the context that you put it in to claim I have misinterpreted it. Talking of using you frontal lobe you should really consider how developed your own is.

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes Yahtzee compares "clusterfuck" games to Asperger's Syndrome? Sometimes I find it offensive even though much of his jokes are funny. Started to really notice that comparison pop up round about the time of the The World Ends With You review he did, but I don't remember the names of the other reviews he used the comparison in.

Now I know by posting this I risk the ire of the Yahtzee fanboys, but I don't think anyone else has bothered to bring it up, and I would be interested in knowing exactly WHY Yahtzee occasionally continues to use such a controversial comparison which I as a person with the condition of Asperger's sometimes find a bit off putting when watching an otherwise hilarious review. Yes, my brain occasionally is clustered up and confused when overloaded with requests to do a number of household tasks, but all the same on the autistic spectrum I'm otherwise "high-functioning".

And please, for the love of God, Buddha, Cthulhu, Allah, and Vishnu, don't turn this into a thread filled with "ASSBURGERS" comments or associated .jpgs, as this would demean an honest question. I normally laugh very hard at Yahtzee's reviews and it is only this one troubling aspect of his material which I find offensive.
I personally believe Yahtzee HAS aspergers syndrome, i have for quite a while. He seems to have many similar personality traits to myself a person with 'high functioning' aspergers syndrome.

Bullshit mate. I have aspergers syndrome, and no i did not just 'say' I had it. I was diagnosed with it at age 9. and i understand the humour in Zero Punctuation perfectly. In fact i use a similar brand of humour in every day life. I am a so called 'High functioning' aspergers sufferer.

Edit: I personally find his aspergers jokes funny as the 'self diagnosed' aspergers crowd actually tend to me more socially awkward. I just think he has it.

It's not a sentence, dumbass and it's not intended as an insult. It's just noticing the fact that socially awkward people are likely to stay virgins. Is that, what hurts you so much? Because your whining about it suggests so.
Go on, report me again (because it clearly didn't work, I wonder why)
"An awkward eternal virgin" is a sentence. that's just a fact, much like the fact that you are a troll.

Before you start trying to claim that I am a '"dumbass" you should look at your own posts:

Tell me, what is 'authism'?

"it's not intended as an insult" you mean it was not rather than, it's not. You should learn how to use tenses when writing.

"Is that, what hurts you so much?" Why have you put a comma after 'that'? you need to learn punctuation rules. Also, this sentence confirms the idea that it was intended as an insult as you are assuming that I should be hurt by it.

"Because your whining about it suggests so." Never start a sentence with the word, because.

"Go on, report me again (because it clearly didn't work, I wonder why)" Why have you used brackets here? Also you have to use a full stop to end your sentences.

No wonder your comment are so moronic, you clearly didn't have a good education. Don't worry, I'll report the fact that you referred to me as a dumbass, not that I need to, your posts speak volumes about you as a person. The reports are put into a queue, I'm sure they'll get round to it soon.

Yeah, but to be fair, you're angry and yell a lot. So you've clearly built up a hardened emotional shell, and insults don't hurt you anymore.

And to the OP: He's not talking about YOU personally. So don't take it personally. He makes fun of everyone and everything, so eventually he's gonna hit a topic that relates to you in SOME way. Just take it easy.

I'm not sure if you base your view on autisms on the movie Rainman, but that is not the way most autists behave. We normally are socially akward people because we can't understand emotions from others, and we live in our own little world. This does not mean that there's no humor in our little world, and that certainly doesn't mean that jokes about something that we enjoy doing (gaming) are not funny for us.

Just take it in stride. South Park for instance flames EVERYBODY pretty much. But almost everyone finds it funny. It's just a joke, and intended as no more.

Agreed, Yahtzee does seem to show the traits of an Aspergian.

And Kukul and the responders, both of you need to stop being asses.
Are you calling me an ass sir? If so i shall have to ask you to step outside!

I'm not Irish. Or into anime or fantasy.

And my previous statement still stands.

And... even if he did make fun of my nationality, (Which he may have, I can't remember.) that's totally okay, because he's funny. And my self esteem is high enough to be able to withstand Yahtzee making fun.
