This is something that ive always wondered about, i always expect Yahtzee to make Pokemon jokes but he hardly ever does, i really want to see him play one of the games and just see what he thinks.

Of course anyone whose even seen a review of his knows what it would be like, but am i the only one who think it'd be hilarious to see him remark about like Yellow or Platinum or such?

Well, he reviewed Borderlands due to popular demand, maybe you can get him to review the newest one(s).

He hates doing things by popular demand though and only does it once in a while.

What would Yahtzee do with a real life Pokemon I wonder..?
He'd strap it in a chair and force it to watch ZP all day long...

(Not that that's a bad thing...)

knowing Yahtzee he's probably already caught Gravity Cat, Chuck Norris, the ghost of Billy Mays and that one version of Superman where he's old and has that giant gun made out of 6 gatling guns, conquered all the major areas of the pokemon world and is ruling it with an iron fist where the death sentence is having to watch the star wars prequels over and over again.

Probably because he's gotten massive amounts of requests to do it, and just sits at his desk, deleting them, while repeating 'Fuck that, not happening.'

Mind you, he probably does that to quite a few review requests he gets.

What is there to say about Pokemon? It's been the same for the last... twenty years or whatever. Everyone knows what to expect.

The only time I remember him writing about Pokemon is in 2002. It was about the most fucked up Pokemon ever devised.

"Well, this guy isn't too fucked up until you start looking into his bio and shit - apparently this little killing spree waiting to happen wears his DEAD MOTHER'S SKULL on his FACE."

You can find it here: http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/archive/Sep30-Oct3.htm

I still have no idea whether he actually likes the series or not, however. Let's not forget his dislike of turn-based combat now.

Now that's genuinely funny.

Bestows 'laughed out loud' award of the day.

Yahtzee's said several times that he has a dislike for JRPGs. I would be surprised to hear he feels anything other than contempt for Pokemon, which (at heart) is a pretty shallow (so as to be kid-playable) JRPG.

Ehehehe Thanks..

To contribute again..:

I reckon if he did review it, it would be only to see how much hate mail he will get from it...

Actually, I preferred it when Yahtzee reviewed really random stuff rather than giving into 'popular demand' and reviewing all sorts of new shizzle... If he reviewed something from the SNES days, I reckon that would be more interesting than some Pokemon game.

I don't think he would bother with Pokemon, he plays the games before reviewing them and If you've played one Pokemon game you've played them all.

People really think he's never played a Pokemon game? I'd bet 100 bucks you'd be wrong.

I'm still waiting for him to review HeartGold/SoulSilver, but I feel like he is intentionally pushing them aside, hoping that we'll forget about them. He has mentioned the Pokemon series in the past, although I don't believe it was exactly a complement.

As a rule, he hates JRPGs in general. I don't really feel like Pokemon exactly fits as a stereotypical JRPG though. It's different in many ways. No angsty teens, somewhat non-linear.

I'd like to see his thought on them, and I'm hoping that the summer gaming drought will allow him time to review them.
