I don't think it's so much ignoring, it's just quite hard. If making awesome games was easy, everybody would do it =)imburke said:i think this is fantastic, not only that we see ben coming out as someone that companies not only respect enough to watch each week, even though we all know theyll ignore him and release garbage anyways
pull or no, a lot of people in the industry probably watch - and completely love - yahtzee's reviews. this response seems like, at the very least, an acknowledgment of his fantastic humor and keen insight.BehattedWanderer said:Seems like Yahtzee does in fact have some pull with the game studios
If they did that, every brainless organization for the prevention of one thing or another would be all over them. Everyone from FOX to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving, fucking crazy bitches tried to make GTAIV an Adults Only game because you can get drunk in it. Seriously.). They'd probably get shut down. I know your comment was meant as a joke, but I just felt I should point out that even though it would be funny and awesome as hell, there's people stupid enough to bash them for it.Indigo_Dingo said:Both companies should put out special editions using those pictures as cover art.
His fantastic humor I'll grant you, though I find keen insight might be a bit much. He does make a few valid points, but it's not always on point. While it is nice to see a reviewer get away from the media hype and actually review a game for what it's worth, he does send out his own personal grudges straight into it. Its nice to see professionals against the mainstream love of gritty realism and appreciate new and experimental design forms.yzzlthtz said:pull or no, a lot of people in the industry probably watch - and completely love - yahtzee's reviews. this response seems like, at the very least, an acknowledgment of his fantastic humor and keen insight.BehattedWanderer said:Seems like Yahtzee does in fact have some pull with the game studios
