...I'm astonished?
and a bit disturbed.

Cole McGrath's picture just makes me feel ill...
I have to go sit down or something.
All that hair and cross dressing makes me want to hide under my bed for a very long time...

However I'm astonished that the developers made the effort, I have the utmost respect for them for actually paying that close of attention.

In my opinion the "hairy call-girl" is so grotesque that I'm surprised it didn't win. Though, I have a feeling that it will get its fair share of use on the Internet. I mean, what fanboy cant resist posting a sexually confused version of a protagonists from a console exclusive. Its just begging for a place in some fanboys blog, right under the title: "Is Sony a Whore?".
Disturbing pictures aside, I think Infamous is a "better" game, maybe not as "fun" as Prototype, but better.

Regardless, I need to go wash the "gay" from my eyes.
It burns...

i think this is fantastic, not only that we see ben coming out as someone that companies not only respect enough to watch each week, even though we all know theyll ignore him and release garbage anyways
I don't think it's so much ignoring, it's just quite hard. If making awesome games was easy, everybody would do it =)
(+ that many things are subjective of course)

When Yahtzee announced that at the end of his review, I know this was going to happen. It's still funny that they actually did it.

Yeah, there's something very cathartic about this. It somehow justifies all the relax time i've wasted following video game news and squabbles.

Seems like Yahtzee does in fact have some pull with the game studios
pull or no, a lot of people in the industry probably watch - and completely love - yahtzee's reviews. this response seems like, at the very least, an acknowledgment of his fantastic humor and keen insight.

Both companies should put out special editions using those pictures as cover art.
If they did that, every brainless organization for the prevention of one thing or another would be all over them. Everyone from FOX to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving, fucking crazy bitches tried to make GTAIV an Adults Only game because you can get drunk in it. Seriously.). They'd probably get shut down. I know your comment was meant as a joke, but I just felt I should point out that even though it would be funny and awesome as hell, there's people stupid enough to bash them for it.

His fantastic humor I'll grant you, though I find keen insight might be a bit much. He does make a few valid points, but it's not always on point. While it is nice to see a reviewer get away from the media hype and actually review a game for what it's worth, he does send out his own personal grudges straight into it. Its nice to see professionals against the mainstream love of gritty realism and appreciate new and experimental design forms.

Interesting to see both companies compete like this, though. Still makes me think that the lovable swearing Australian actually has truly impacted the game studio community. I daresay the next time it happens will draw in even more developer attraction and--hopefully!--competition.

What you mean they actually care what gamers/game critics think! Also this whole sequence of event leads me to think I have fallen into a parallel universe where gaming is relevant, and horses ride people... bad though.

Wow, that's so incredibly cool.
Seriously, who would've thought they'd actually do it.

Huge thumbs up to both of them.

Yahtzee you charasmatic stallion!

Does the influence of Yahtzee know no bounds? Only one way to find out. You need to make even more ridiculous requests.
