Although I absolutely loved Mass Effect (spent three days playing it) and while I think its the best game to come from Bioware to date...it does have its flaws, and I don't mind seeing Yahtzee take a swing at it.

How would we know what he'll review or not? or are you trying to effect him into doing it with crowd opinion?:D

Hey, if it works, bring me a club...I find physical violence a perfect means of swaying opinion.

I think it's a enough hyped game for him to review it! Expect it in the next few weeks. I bet it's out before Xmas ^^

I bet the list for games he's gonna review is a mile long, and there are definitly some that are much more deserving of the ever loving shit being squeezed out of them than Mass Effect.

I find it more amusing when I don't know what he's gonna reveiw next, though the surprise isn't always pleasent.

I hope he reviews it. Seems like a perfect candidate. It's a really awesome and ambitious game, but with a few glaring flaws. I suspect he could do hilarious things with that source material...

Up to the escapist I would think - Escapist buys his games, he's said as much. Although somehow I don't think this is much Yahtzee's style, he's already said he doesn't get along with RPGs. Well, technically, he did say J-RPG's; doesn't really matter, if he did review it I couldn't click on play fast enough. That said, it's a busy season, and the man only does one a week. I'd say he's just as likely to review COD4, Assassin's creed, or Uncharted.

Besides, I honestly don't know much about the market in australia - I know Singapore almost banned Mass Effect, do they even have ME available in australia?

I'd say Crysis would be a better choice to review, but having played it through to the end i don't think he'd be able to find any criticism for it. That just wouldn't be funny at all.

It might be a bit too long of a game to review for him. Figure he only has about three days to play the game, and then a day or two to write and animate the review.

Personally, while I'm enjoying Mass Effect quite a bit, I have to admit that there's a lot there to criticize. The slooowww elevators, the hacking system consisting of a sort of lame rhythm game, the wonky commands for your allies in combat, the ever present texture pop-in, the combat in the Mako, and I'm sure there are other issues that I can't think of or haven't encountered yet.

Make no mistake, I enjoy the game tremendously, but it has flaws, and it has lots of them. Fortunately, the rest of the gameplay is strong enough to transcend these flaws and still make the overall product a great game. I just wish that these issues had been addressed, because they are really quite irritating.

I find it strange that you think that what Singapore does or doesn't allow to be sold in their country has anything to do with whether it will be sold in Australia. They are two totally different countries. Singapore is a country renowned for its conservative censorship policies, while Australia is... not. They bear no relation to each other.

Well, once you get enough Omni-gel, you never really need to hack again. And I got use to the combat in the mako...it was fun as hell blowing shit up with the cannon.

I'm aware of that, but other then relative geographic proximity I've never heard of any other ban occurring within hundreds of miles of that corner of the world. At the time I wasn't assuming that it might not be available because the australians had banned it, more that they simply hadn't gotten it in market yet. Remember when Yahtzee said they hadn't gotten Paper Mario until long after the rest of the world had?

Rest assured I have never labored under the illusion that Singapore's government has any connection to austalia's. My point was that I simply didn't know if ME had made it onto australian shelves yet; It doesn't necessarily follow that they banned it, it could just as easily be a question of global distribution and when games make it into specific countries.

So why does everyone want him to review a game that you can all pick the flaws out of? Couldn't you get together, write something up and pay a fast talking homeless British guy five bucks to read it back to you?(I like the random reviews personally)
