I am in the US Army Reserves and 95% of the time I love the Army (they provide money, food, shelter, and funding my schooling). This is the 5% I don't like it.
I got a call (literally) 15 min ago telling me to go to a different location 30 miles farther 3 hours earlier than I was originally ordered to be. I now have 3.5 hours to drive praying that I can get a hotel room at the last minute. By the way I am leaving as soon as I finish downloading a presentation I am giving tomorrow.
I would not be as annoyed if they had called me last week and told me but 18 hours before I have to report really.
I still love the Army, and I have good Sargent's (one of whom is working quickly to amending my orders so the hotel will be paid for by the Army) but this whole situation just annoys the heck out of me.
So what at your job adds extra unnecessary (in your mind at least) stress?
