so Ive been playing monster hunter tri, and I FINALLY decided to go online(cha-cha was getting a little annoying)
so im with this guy hunting a gobul(fish monster thing) and I say "we'll split up, Ill go down route 3 and you take the shortcut to 8, we'll paintball him, meet back at the camp, then gang up on him. message me if you find him."
he agreed, and went to 8.
so I find the gobul at 3, paintball it and message him to meet at the camp.
so I get back to the camp and wait...
wait and message again...
wait and message again...
and wait again untill the paintball fades away.
so I think "screw it, Ill find then attack the gobul, and he can go f**k himself when it comes to the reward(I was willing to let him have 80% of the rewards, I only wanted one specific thing...)
I look in the item box, and he took all of the supplies
thanks dude, thanks.
so I find the gobul again, and we get in a heated battle between blade and err, fish...stuff?
almost dead, last potion and whetstone, I let him get away so I can heal and sharpen.
I follow the gobul afterward, and the bastard from before is carving what should have been MY kill.
"well I killed it by myself, so I should get all of the rewards" was his excuse.
I got nothing from a kill that I spent a good 20 minutes fighting on low supplies.
bull
f**king
shit.
so no more online for me for a while.

where was an event like the one I experienced, where someone dicked around the entire time and then swooped in to take all the glory.
one where the only 2 responses you have to choose between are "F**K YOU" or "thanks for the help...[/sarcasm]".
wheather it be a computer or a player, just one of those people...

I'd once gone into doubles by myself (bad idea, derp) and got paired with a guy who spent the entire match trying to kill me instead of the enemies.

We I still won.
Fuck yeah!

Me and two of my friends were doing an Instance in WoW, I was a level 40 something Hunter, and i was with a level 46 Paly (technically our party healer) and a level 67DK.

Now we were basically letting the DK own, and then just wracking up points & loot. Was about my level, so the DK was just demolishing everything.

So we go through most of it, And my two friends were being really competitive, rolling need for stuff they didnt need, just to stop the other getting it - That to me is a dick move, but no end of shouting would solve the problem, so i had to deal with it.

Anyway, the BEST[/I] bow i could get for my level come up, and my Paly arsefriend rolled Need, He won & it was bound to him. Twat.

I stopped playing WoW that night, i have no intentions of going back to it.

As I just mentioned in the FPS thread, it's very annoying in Bad Company 2 to end up in squads with 3 non-spotting recons.

You could be the best player in the game and still lose because your team thinks they're playing Mercenary Team Deathmatch.

Left 4 Dead when someone takes the tank that you both agreed that YOU would use next.

Halo when your co-op partners think that dicking around by way of throwing highly explosive materials in your general area = fun. You do not share those sentiments.

MW2 when your friends send you in as that "guy." The suicide riot shielder. On hardcore. Without telling you about it.

Playing the Battle Tower with a friend on Pokemon and using Explosion freely. Without informing said friend.

what double post?
The first one is further up the page.

I'm not sure why but sometimes when you refresh the page on the Escapist it takes a minute for your post to appear and I thought it hadn't been posted when it had.

Wow, that just sucks.

Similar thing happened to me in my first online experience with Phantasy Star Universe. Get online, spend an hour trying to figure out where the hell everyone was, then finally get a party together.
GO into a low level mission.
I kill some, they kill some, it's all good.
Then I pick up a weapon a guy in the party wants.
He asks, "wanna trade?" I say sure. THe only way to "trade n that game during a mission, is to drop the items on the ground.
SO I drop the gun, he drops the money, all seems well. Until he bolts over picks up the gun and bolts back and picks up the money, leaving me gunless and more than a little pissed off.
He also hid out for the entire [boss fight, then at the end came out and got off the last hit, which gives him the most experience.

Ouch, that sucks :( Lootwhores suck major dick, more so when they are your friends.

But you win automatically for having a most epic avatar. Dylan Moran and Simon Pegg = amazing.

As I explained...

I posted the same thing twice, just not right next to eachother.

The post about Recons in BC2. It's just up the page there.

It's no big deal, I wouldn't worry about it.

Did you forget to eat your Weetabix this morning?

I'm surprised you can't understand the situation here, it's really very simple.

Okay, this is the best I could come up with.

you put "EDIT" in the second post, so does that mean you deleted it and I messaged the double post.

and I dont eat breakfast, I like to sleep till the last minute

Nope... it means I posted the same post twice, then edited it to tell people to ignore the second post as it was a double.

See? :D

Runescape

I was in a group and we were going through an area. Monsters ambushed and they ran, without telling me, and leaving me behind. As I was fighting and dieing, I saw them come back and wait for me to die, just waiting to gobble up the items I would drop.

So I exit out of the game, and deny them.

From what I understand after that they got swarmed and died. Served the assholes right.
