ok so this thread has probably been done many times before but i want some opinions.

not to toot my own horn here but im an above average player (toot toot) im not saying im an xCal or xJawz or anything like that but im fed up of being on teams in domination where i end up with like 7 caps and 10 defends and the rest of my team has 1 or 2 of both, and they arent even getting killstreaks, they are just rubbish at the game, and the other team will be walking all over my team with only me doing anything.

obviously sometimes it is because the other team are actually very skilled at the game but i rarely come across a nice fair match where we are evenly matched and the game is enjoyable

now i know what i have said seems really big headed to say and im not usually that big headed but it is constantly happening, and because of this im finding it hard to enjoy the game. i usually end with a 1.5-2.00 k/d and lots of captures and defends because i prefer playing the objective and winning than just kill whoring.

anyone else experiencing this?

I occasionally experience this as well. A bit annoying but when it happens I just use my lousy team as bait and/or meatshields and rack up some kills.

What seems to happen a lot is team stacking. I don't even know how since teams seem to be randomly made, but either I'm struggling to kill anyone or I'm getting Chopper Gunners. There is no in between.

Just use you're teammates as human shields. The way you're describing them it seems that's all they're good for.

If you lose, it is that much more infuriating, but the plus side is you rarely lose.

Find a server with decent players and stick to it - that's what I've done with Bad Company 2.

I'm on the other end of this. I'm not very good at FPS in general, or Black Ops in particular. I'm OK...I get by...I usually get the bull about as often as I get the horns, and end a typical Domination game with 3-5 captures.

No offense, but please rest assured that I dislike playing with people that are way above may pay grade about as much as you dislike playing with (relative) idiots like me. It's simply not fun to be in a game where you face 4 chopper gunners, and 2 sets of attack dogs, because they happen to put all 8 guys that are on their 27th prestige on one team, and all the rank 12 sergeants who are splitting a screen with their little brother on the other. I had always hoped that it was equally as unfun for you, watching me accidentally mash my knife button out of panic when I catch a glimpse of you 50 yards away.

So....can there be some sort of balance system? There is certainly no shortage of metrics recorded about each player. Taken together, the information about accuracy, K/D, W/L, hit location, kidney function, killstreaks, etc. should be able to paint some kind of picture of how good one is, and be used to split the professionals up as much as possible, while still respecting parties.
Maybe even a prestige only version of each playlist, where you could go for a good competitive game, leaving the weekend warriors like myself alone to nube-tube and rcxd each other to our hearts' content.

The problem is the emphasis on customization. Though well done, it just doesn't work with team-based gametypes. It's why I stopped playing Search and Destroy. Everyone just goes for their own challenges... now Modern Warfare really knew how to make people work together. I have regretted selling that since the day I did.

Hmm, cant say this has happened much to me in domination, and from the sounds of it, we play fairly a similar game. what system are you playing on?

what does annoy me is people who 'kill-whore' so to speak, and end up with a higher score than me but with 0-1 capture/defends... come on, TDM is right there if you want to just play for kills.

Um there is that - prestige lobbies. But you need to pay CoD points to get into them I think

Did you post this so other people can complain with you or do you expect us to do something about it? I'm a little confused here.

no i posted it to see if anyone else was experiencing the same kind of problem as me, and if you could contact treyarch and make so im on a good team all the time, it would be greatly appreciated

Team Death Matches aren't team games and people don't really care for objectives. There's nothing you can do about it. Get used to all types of game mode so you can change between them if you find one game mode is getting annoying.
