Yet another Halo: Reach thread...

All I know is the last part of the game is hard. I won't tell what you have to do, I'll just say there is 3 zealot class elites and one Field Commander (I forget its name, but its like the highest ranking elite there is). Two of the zealots have duel wield plasma rifles, one just has one, and the Field Commander has a fuel rod gun / plasma sword. It took FOREVER to get pass them.

Well, I just got the achievement yesterday, and I have to say, always have a headshot weapon. And, if you face Elites, always get a plasma weapon to be with your headshot weapon. The elites are like monkeys in how they dodge, and bullets won't cut it against their shields. And for Brutes, sniper and needle rifle all the way.

but really it DOES CHEAT. on the sniper level i was about to snipe the turret guy from a good distance away, and i hadnt fired yet so i was still "stealthed" technically, and right when my aimer went over his head in my scope the turret moved so it put the metal bar between my scope and his head, and so i was like "fine fucker, ill just relocate" so i do that a good 45 feet in the other direction, line up again, FUCKER DOES IT AGAIN!

now i know that the computer should take some advantages..but i mean come onn you stupid little grunt, let me rape your head! and that wasn't even on legendary!

woah, I'm almost done with cmpaign on heroic and I think THAT'S hard! I don't think I'll ever do legendary, unless im with a friend who's really good. Too bad difficulty scales up with more people.

Seeing as I'm getting Reach tomorrow, I was a bit stupid to click into this thread really. But hey, no spoilers so that's great. And plus, I've got a shit-ton of tips out of this so yay!

Anyway, to answer the other question you've posed OP.

So anyone else have this problem, trying to beat a game on the hardest difficulty? Not just Halo: Reach though, any game.

That thing, yes, a few times, actually. Mainly in the older Halo's and Halo 2 in particular. Damn that one guy dies = START AGAIN! shit in co-op. Made Legendary a total ass to play with a friend who doesn't know what the warning "Rambo behaviour will get you killed." means.

Elites and Brutes aren't so bad, it's those darn hunters that keep kicking my ass. I should one with a fuel rod cannon 4 times and he didn't die. I was unpleasantly surprised. They NEVER turn their backs to me either.

Hunters are terrible for me. I got stuck on one part in ONI: Sword Base with two hunters and I was there for about half an hour trying to get past them. And then when I finally killed them, I headed to the elevator to go down to the real part of Sword Base, when an Elite greeted me with an energy sword to the face.

Im stuck on Heroic...on the Second Mission, have been for about 2 days...

and it's only at the beginning ¬_¬!

then again i haven't been on it since yesterday, well... campaign anyway.

I'm dreading this fucker on Legendary...

Oooh btw, this should be obvious but hey what the hell, use the Jetpack to get to higher ground where you would never be able to get to on Foot, Helped me a few times on normal =D
