Ok, some backstory. I met this girl a few days ago who I really like, so I asked her if she wanted to meet up and she said that she would like to, but she was kinda busy this week (this was either yesterday or the day before). We've spoke since then, but haven't made any plans yet.

So I ask you, forum-goers of the Escapist, is this a bad sign?

And also, could you suggest some ways or conversation topics that aren't too forward, but drop hints that I'm interested in her?

As always, I suggest not asking people on the internet. But as to no be completely useless, I don't think that's a bad sign. There. That is all.

Define: Really like. You've known her but a few days. What do you like about her 'cos it can't be that much unless you spent the last few days in deep conversation about her life and personality.

Fair enough. People are often busy.

No.

How about "I'm interested in taking you back to my bed, taking off all your clothes and making sweet love to you so hard that you forget how to stand up straight."

That's what I'd do anyway.

Not a bad sign, she is just busy, if it continues for a couple of weeks, then you can be suspicious.
Why have not asked my interest out, and I have known her for months? I am such a coward. *goes and sobs in corner*

I love you Amnestic. You can take anything and make it sound like a wonderful idea.

It is a wonderful idea. Oh sure. She might say no. But this guy's known her for but a few days. He can't be that emotionally invested into her.

One of three things occurs: 1) Rejected outright and they don't speak again. Sucks, but there are more pretty girls in the city. There really are. 2) She laughs, thinking it was a joke and you proceed from there. You've just broken the ice with a satellite based laser cannon. 3) She thinks you're serious and approves. I don't think I really need to explain how this is a wonderful idea.

Option one is admittedly bad, yes. But it's far worse to

because that just brings up the inevitable XKCD Comic.

I'll do it for you.

EDIT - Totally misread, my friend. Ignore this post and move on. I thought you two were already in a relationship...
