Only if I'm very new to the genre, and need to know how everything works. Otherwise I stick to normal. I think I've only ever turned the difficulty down once, in DA:O, The Fade.

Heh, fair enough. Although, I do have to agree. I made the "smart" decision of attempting to play the game (which had the warning that it was hard enough on Easy) on Normal mode as soon as I came home with it.
