A halberd would be my weapon of choice. I wouldn't let them get near me.

I armor up with Studded Leather and dual wield. Longsword main hand, dagger offhand. I also carry several throwing knives and a light crossbow.

Funny, you sound exactly like my friend who's a half elf rogue in D&D.

A tower shield and spear, with my short sword held close for a secondary weapon.

I've started to really like spears, all of a sudden.

You know those giant swords Final Fantasy characters use? Or the one that Nightmare uses in Soul Calibur? Those. They can act as a shield and a weapon.
and if you can lift it off the ground you can just drop it on the other guy

A pretty woman. They can get through everything.

Either that or an attitude. Few things stop someone who looks like they know what they're doing.

Since i am a larper, I use a two handed battle axe. a chain mail shirt, a leather waist coat, and plate shin pad thingys.

And for everyone posting flail, its actualy either 1. against the larping club rules to use a weapon that is unpredictable or 2. the foam chain ends up fusing 2gether and u just get an awsome looking mace.

I would have to go with a pike. Maybe a hook hammer, something that can be used to (not literally) trip and stab.

Hmmm, a longbow perhaps? Back in the days a solid longbow would out range the enemy. Fire a few volleys then let your infantry get stuck in.

On the other hand, dual wielding is always neat. Axe and mace for double the fun.
