First, have a massive meal of all the perishable stuff that will never exist again. Drive into the city to stock up on things like non-perishable food and a extra few books on survival/car maintenance/road maps of the entire country/anything else useful. Come back home, spend a few days eating perishable stuff and stripping my camper van (RV) of dead weight (extra seat etc.). Fill it up with some extra fuel, a few weapons, books, rechargeable batteries, gameboy etc. and loads of food then start driving.

Maybe have a look around government buildings. Investigate some old conspiracy theories about aliens/Diana's death/JFK, but I imagine everything would be on computers which wouldn't work once the power stops. Eventually consider learning to sail in an attempt to reach mainland Europe. Either die trying or go to everywhere on my list of places to visit. Then probably suicide.

... you all do realize that the majority of you would likely die from a cold with nobody else left, right?

Travel, would get an R.V and a Trailer and load it up with as much supplies as possible. My first stop would be California, I need to pick up some things. Then its off to explore Area 51 and other secret military bases, the White house and other curious things. Get myself a pet so I don't go insane. Drink, smoke, and wank my way across the world. I prolly would go insane after the first year, I'm not a very sociable person but eventually it would start getting to me. I guess I would just let myself into insanity, I don't think I would ever have the guts to kill myself.

EDIT: If I were I lady however, I would raid a sperm bank in hopes to repopulate the world. Push out as many kids hoping for daughter who will mature, raid the sperm banks again for them. Eventually it would come down to incest here and there but if you managed it properly you might have enough genetic diversity to repopulate the world.

Step 1: Take biggest car around.
Step 2: Collect gasoline, books, and games and their consoles for entertainment.
Step 3: Find farm (easy as pie since I'm in Florida and near a highway).
Step 4: Collect food and seeds.
Step 5: Find renewable energy source (in the mainland because of global warming) using internet that is temporarily available.
Step 6: Move there, plant crops, and maybe build a house.
Step 7: Spend rest of life playing games, reading, eating, and maybe exploring.

Mine's somewhat similar. I think if there was the prospect of ever recovering humanity, or at least leaving something behind for whatever came next, it would be enough to prevent me from going insane. I'd get a pet, though.

Step 1: Find the largest biological research lab in North America. Preferably something running on renewable energy (Solar would be best, since I'm fairly certain that it will still remain viable once everyone else stops running the power stations)
Step 2: Attempt to perfect cloning. Might as well do something productive with the next 65 years of my life: I'm not exactly strapped for time. Also, I'll try to train some lab-monkeys.
Step 3: Grow test-tube baby using frozen embryo.
Step 4: iunno, see how many times I can duplicate that. If I've come this far, chances are I've already given myself the tools I need to do some serious science. Maybe I'll give the next generation of humans wings and tentacles.

I'm wondering, would the last woman on Earth be able to at least partially repopulate it if she had the right initiative? And the stomach to repeatedly give childbirth... without help... in an already crumbling and hopeless-seeming scenario... Actually, I don't think anyone, man or woman, would put themselves through that willingly.

If step 2 didn't work out, I think I'd try to create a new sentient species from scratch. I'd likely use my own DNA as a template, and combine it with something from dolphins or chimps or something. As someone else eloquently put it, it'd be like a really long game of civilization.

I sometimes question my own scientific morality.

Take all the drugs and die.
No reason for me to live with nobody to share my life with, eh?

Just waiting to die, no chance of ever having children of my own, nobody to talk to and share with... That is hell.

Danse like a maniac.

In all actuality, I'd probably try to do something new each day, spend a lot of time learning how to make canned food taste good and keep a small generator running, and of course the prerequisite hunting and gardening, which would take up 90% of my time. The internet would stop working, so I'd probably be using the local library a lot.

I give myself between six and ten years before I completely lose my shit. In a crazy-old-hermit sort of way.

I would go to places like Area 51, CIA HQ, Library of congress in the forbidden section, Pentagon, CDC and White House. I would find out of the hidden secrets. Then pretty much do what everyone else does.

And if not a cold, then a good amount of people--myself included--would get eaten by one of mother nature's many wonderful, horrible, terrifying, man killing beasts. Most likely a Lion or Grizzly bear.

My first inclination would be try to find other people. I'm absolutely sure I wouldn't survive long on my own.

At first, food and resources wouldn't be a problem, but very quickly, electricity supplies would fail, and any food which isn't canned or otherewise preserved would decay. I definitely wouldn't be able to get power working on my own, and I've no ability to hunt.

In short, I'd be dead within a few weeks max.
