I'm glad that purchasing this at least get's you something, especially at that high of a price. I'm not in any rush to play it right now though, even though my co-worker boasts how amazing it is. Hopefully it goes free to play soon, cause I wanna play it.

This is an interestin deal honestly. While technically you'd be buyin into the beta if you're not in yet, you don't pay any extra to do so if you planned to buy the Battle Bundle anyway. Personally I'd prefer the Nexus bundle since its got a crap ton more heroes in it (and my lovely rainbow unicorn mount), but the golden cyber wolf is quite lovely as well.

I might do it. But my brother plays the beta and he says the 2500 gold isn't a lot to work with.
There's also the fact that I'm not interested in any of the three heroes, except maybe Diablo and only if the D3 model is available.
2500 gold can get you any of the cheap heroes (sans Raynor since you'd already have him from the bundle), or if you wait for a few of the level up rewards a nice leg up on the 10k heroes.

I was excited to see this, at least until I saw the price tag. Is there really no way to buy into the beta without spending a lot on what is effectively tat? What makes it worse is that HotS now appears in the Battle.net launcher, regardless of whether or not you actually have beta access, so I was surprised to see it there, but disappointed to see that it was only an advertisement to spend £30.

EDIT: They could have at least made the pile of money a little more impressive in the promotional art. Im not asking for a pile of exactly 2500 coins, but I was just expecting something more than what looks like a pocketful of change.
Same here. Was excited when my roommate told me the game was available and saw it on my launcher. He probably didn't know it was paid only since he already got into the beta so it's not really his fault. Still made me sad to see you gotta throw them that much cash to buy into a beta test.

As much as I would like to try it for myself I just don't want to spend that much on a MOBA when I'm not a huge fan of them anyway. Much like Hearthstone I'd rather just get the game free and either earn coins (or splurge a few bucks) to buy more characters and skins that I actually want. Especially when were talking about dropping $40 on a game beta, really at this point I'm done with early access and beta's, regardless of who is making it.
