As for anything I'd ever realistically get, I have always wanted a Volkswagen Beetle. Not only is it good economically and I think they look cool, there's the pleasure of knowing people are punching each other because I drove by.

Don't hold your breath. They canceled the 2010 NSX. They had the new V10 SH-AWD chassis all worked out, but the crappy economy and the fact that Nissan released the new Skyline replacement caused them to cancel the new NSX. It's a damn shame too, because those were great "budget supercars".

My new car that I want is the Lexus LFA. Although I'm pretty happy with my current car ('07 Acura TL typeS) so I'm less obsessed with getting a cool new car than I used to be.

I confess a strong nostalgia for the 1990 Volvo 240. Back in the memorable summer of '99 my then-girlfriend and I put enough miles on hers to drive around the world. We pulled a Johnny Cash and could fairly say we'd been everywhere---at least everywhere east of the Ohio and north of the Potomac.
