Obviously I have. The opposite of this question is: Have you ever not liked a game that Yahtzee did?
To which the answer will more often than not be: Yes.

Yahtzee has a distinctly different taste in games than me.

However if you are asking which ones, I'd have to say Oblivion first and foremost.
Me too. I did not like Psychonauts, but I did like Brutal Legend.

Mass Effect, Tales of Monkey Island, Prince of Persia: Two Thrones, Rome: Total War and thought COD 4's ending was brilliant(the actual end, not Mile High Club, just is pretty much just a bonus mission).

I never really got into Painkiller, and I didn't like Crysis as much as he did. I also don't see Racism in as many games as he does.

Normally I take Yathzee's reviews with a grain of salt, with the exception of Horror. We both have the same tastes in horror, it seems, so when he talks about a horror game and says it isn't scary(He didn't like the FEAR games, I played FEAR and was unimpressed, so I didn't bother with FEAR 2), I tend to take his word for it.

I think people need to understand that whether he liked the game or not, Yahtzee WILL bash it. Sometimes I don't really know if he hated the game or he bashes it because it is his job.

Even he has said on some occasions that people hate it when he gives positive reviews so he gives people what they want. Unfortunately most neglect this and take it like he is giving a review. So they take it as "Oh don't get this game cause Yahtzee said it was bad."

I think the viewers, some of them anyway, need to learn the fact that his job IS to bash the game whether he liked it or not.

I will say that yes, about half the games he has reviewed I have enjoyed, but I don't know where he stands on some of them cause some it seems like he just bashed them to bash them

I liked Mercs 2, even with all it's bugs it's still fun. I should think everyone has had a game Yahtzee didn't like.

Most of the games Yahtzee hates I love. Games like Uncharted: Drakes fortune, Resident Evil 5, Dead Space, Burnout, Oblivlion and many more.

Not really - Yahtzee's ok in my book since he looks at gaming primarily from the perspective of narrative and innovation (or the lack of it in most games these days). He seems to hate FPS' and JRPGs not because of what they are, but simply because most of them are awfully generic - something I agree with.

That being said...

I love Mirror's Edge. Mind you, just about everything he said about it (that I recall) was more-or-less true, I just don't feel that any of it was enough to take away from the game being fun and, well, kinda unique. I got the feeling he just decided to hate on it since it was A. Made by EA and B. he sucked at it (admittedly usually good reasons for disliking a game).

I watch Yahtzee for laughs not for any genuine information about a game.

OT: I play a lot of RTS games so yes.

Yes, I have a very different opinion on video game genres then him, but I highly dislike many of the things he does. Like him I am pessimistic about all this new shit, where everyone is a giant space marine killing aliens or another WW2 game. I also have been trying to physically harm my friends who do not appreciate the brilliance of psychonauts since it came out.

Yup. Love my JRPG's and to be honest don't really care what Yahtzee says about them. He'll never change that ........

...... Why do I feel like he's aiming a sniper rifle at me?

Yahtzee is a true game reviewer, it's just that when itterpretting what he sais pay less attention to the bad things he says and pay more attention to the good things he sais. I decided to buy Halo3 because he said that "it's not like Halo3's a bad game" which I interpretted to mean "Halo3 is a very good game".

Of course. I greatly enjoyed Smash Bros. Brawl. I also don't mind the occasional JRPG, although I think I prefer western RPGs where I can build my own character.

Personally i don't yahtzee seriously as a reviewer because he's a bit picky for my taste. ButI do believe that if he actually likes a game, it might be worth checking out. He is a serious reviewer but he just has alternative tastes. he isn't an independant reviewer for nothing.

Also, I think if you disagree with him, don't send him hate mail like the whole SSBB episode, and remember that its just his opinion. I think he's the most interesting critic because he's not afraid to praise that every that in the conseus of the critic and gamer community.

You also have to remember that he exaggarates flaws for comedy since people like for doing that.
