One day you go to a random place and discover a giant laser. It can fire anywhere in the world at all, has lock on capabilities, and the blast can be as big or as small as you want. There is a moniter so yoy can see the explosion/piercing if you want. It's untraceable, so no need to worry about getting caught. But it only has energy for ONE shot. And you can't recharge it.

Where/Who/What do you fire it at? Do you fire it at all?

It says fire anywhere on the world.. not outer space.. Besides, it's a little hard to aim when the light you aim with is distorted over the several millions of kilometers you would have to fire.
