It would also set civilization backwards a good thousand years or so.

OT: I'd remove the object.

A human being armed with a D-Mat Gun? Rassilon is doing revolutions in the grave.

Anyway, one thing to remove... Let's remove stupidity overall. I think it would be highly altruistic of me to destroy idiocy itself and actually leave the PEOPLE out of it, thus sparing billions of lives while possibly making the world a better place to live in.

(This, of course, might cause the D-Mat Gun to explode.)

Madylyn Murray O'Hair, for all the multitudinous reasons a reasonable man would want her gone.

Won't in the slightest. You're blaming a book for human nature.
The crusades, the holocaust, the Spanish inquisition, the Salem witch trials, and the Muslim terrorists just to name a few
Without religion in ancient times there would be nothing else to stop people from murdering each other. Modern laws are based off of widely accepted human behavior which is based of off religion. enjoy your violent harsh new world!

United States of America. The whole continent. Alaska and Canada can stay, if they act nice.

Paradox proof eh? We'll see about that.
I choose to remove the action of removal itself.

"This also erases the history and very existence of the thing in question." oooooh

I'm going to have to say the Escapist background image. You know, the one you can't even see because there's a big light blue forum background in the way. Why? Well, see, I click on the very left of my screen, then hit home or pageup or pagedown etc etc to scroll. On the escapist however, it's a hyperlink. "Anthony Saves The World: Episode 10: Debbie Pt. 2" has just gotten 3 undeserved hits from me in my attempts to log in and read this thread, and I would like for them to understand that it did not, in fact, interest 3 people, so much as it was bad link placement forcing me to accidentally click it.

I'd love to have used this to better the world in a more significant way, but I dunno how removing a single thing could effect human nature. Churches maybe, simply for the sake of non-paradox it would mean people would have seen the idea of "a wizard did it" as unsatisfactory at the task of explaining things like, lightning, and clouds, and earthquakes. And thus, they would have no reason to congregate to worship the wizardly one who did it.

Racialist ideologies. But you're right, removing a news programme that you personally dislike is a much worthier action.
Don't you dare to touch my ideologies!

Anyway...
I would probably remove Islam.

I would remove the ability to become physically or chemically injured before the age of 100. If no one could die before they were "due" then most fears are basically eliminated. My hope would be this sudden loss of fear, but keeping the inevitability of death, would eliminate hatred or racism. If you cannot physically harm someone, then you cannot "beat" them in this biological rat race we call life. If you are guaranteed to die, but only after 100 years of life, then you still are forced to make your time count for something. (I through chemical injury in there to negate poisons and genetic disorders such as Alzheimer's).

Can I have a tool that erases George Lucas after about 1991? He has to stay long enough to help the Pixar guys but not long enough to make the "Special Edition" Star Wars films.
